Send status, ETA and running-late updates

Send status, ETA and running-late updates. Writes a plain update: where it stands, the new time, what is next, what we need from them. Only when something changed or an update was promised. This build has not been filmed yet; the page fills in once it is.

How it works

The loop

  1. 1. Trigger

A status change in the system (tech running late, load ETA moved, part arrived, condition cleared, candidate moved stage) or a promised update coming due.

  2. 2. Inputs

The job, load or file status, the schedule, the contact, and the last update sent.

  3. 3. Agent does

Writes a plain update: where it stands, the new time, what is next, what we need from them. Only when something changed or an update was promised.

  4. 4. A person checks

The dispatcher or advisor approves bad-news messages (late, delayed, denied). Routine 'on the way' and 'approved' messages go from templates.

  5. 5. Lands in

SMS or email from the system, note on the job.

Tools a non-coder uses: Claude Project. Zapier on a ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro webhook, a TMS email, or a status sheet. Native texting in the field service tool.

What changes per role: The unit, the clock and the reader. HVAC: minutes, homeowner. Trucking and freight: hours, broker or shipper. RV: days, owner waiting on parts. Mortgage: borrower, loan officer and realtor. Restoration: homeowner, in plain claim words. PM: client and stakeholders. Recruiter: candidates between stages. TC: clients and agents.
